Superior RX Plans is a service established
to help Americans save money on prescription
drugs by helping them gain access to fully licensed and

2. Is Superior RX Plans an Internet mail-order
Canadian pharmacy?
No. Superior RX Plans is not a pharmacy.
Superior RX Plans is strictly the name of an administrative service
that brings together a network of licensed Canadian physicians
and pharmacies that work together to help fill your prescriptions
at competitive Canadian prices. All prescriptions are dispensed
by a licensed mail order Canadian pharmacy.

3. What does Superior RX Plans do?
Superior RX Plans collects your
information and prescriptions and on your behalf forwards
this information over to a Canadian physician for review and
approval. Upon approval, a Canadian prescription is written
for your prescribed medications. This prescription is then
filled and shipped directly to you by a fully licensed and
accredited Canadian pharmacy. All packages are shipped using
an express mail service and are covered against loss or
damage. Packages also come with a tracking number. The price
you pay, which includes a standard shipping and handling
charge, includes all of these services.

13. How do Canadian drugs compare to American drugs in terms
of safety and effectiveness?
The Canadian government has very strict requirements for
the manufacturing of medication in Canada. These requirements
are very similar to the requirements in the US. In fact,
some of the drugs sold in Canada are actually manufactured
in the US and repackaged for sale in Canada. Generic medications
are all manufactured in Canada under Canada's stringent requirements.

17.
What’s the difference between generic drugs and brand
name drugs?
When a drug company first invents a drug (i.e. Prozac) that
company is the only one allowed to make that drug for a certain
number of years (approximately 10 years in the US and 5-7
years in Canada). After this time period, other companies
are allowed to make the same drug. These drugs are called
generics. The original drug (i.e. Prozac) is called a brand
name drug. Brand name drugs and their generics are identical
in terms of active ingredients. The generic pills may look
different (because they are made by a different company)
but inside is exactly the same active ingredient which works
in exactly the same way. The only difference between brand
name drugs and generic drugs is that generics are always
less expensive.

18. What guidelines does
Superior RX Plans and its affiliated
Canadian pharmacy follow in filling prescriptions?
Once your prescription from your U.S. doctor and your completed
questionnaire have been received by our office, we will forward
it to a Canadian licensed doctor so that he/she may review
your medical history and approve your prescription under
his/her Canadian license. If our doctor has any questions
concerning your medical history or prescription, you or your
prescribing physician will be contacted directly.
Your prescription will be filled as written. The name and
strength as written on the prescription will be dispensed.
However, our affiliated licensed Canadian pharmacy will substitute
U.S. approved generic drugs for brand name drugs when available
unless your U.S. physician indicates on the prescription
that no substitutions are allowed, or unless you indicate
to us that you do not want substitutions made. Please Note:
Superior RX Plans and its affiliated licensed Canadian pharmacies
will NOT fill prescriptions for narcotics or other controlled
substances such as benzodiazepines.

19. Why are prescription drugs so much cheaper in Canada than
in the US?
There are four main reasons for this. Firstly, in Canada,
the government regulates the prices that pharmaceutical companies
can charge for their drugs. Secondly, due to more lenient
patent laws, Canada offers more generic drugs (i.e. equivalent
substitutes) than the US. Third, the US dollar is much stronger
than the Canadian dollar, which gives Americans additional
buying power. And fourth, taxes are not charged for orders
being sent out of Canada.
20. What if I can’t find my prescriptions

34. Why do the pills I receive from you look different from
the ones I get from my local pharmacy?
Brand name pills normally look different from generic versions,
despite the fact that they include the same active ingredient
and work in the exact same way. If you order a generic version
of your pill medication from us, do not expect it to look
exactly like the brand name version that you're used to. Not
only that, but in Canada, there are some brand name pills
that look a bit different than they do in the US, even though
they contain the same active ingredient and are manufactured
by the exact same company. In the case of two different generics
of the same drug, they will look different if they are manufactured
by two different companies.
35. What are the names of the
companies that manufacture generic drugs in Canada?
The manufacturing of generic drugs in
Canada are subject to the same strict approval and
regulation as brand name drugs, and are used by millions of
Canadians on a daily basis. The manufacturers of these
generics include large, well-established and respected
companies. Major manufacturers include Apotex,
GenPharm, NovoPharm, PharmaScience, Taro, RatioPharm and
Sabex.

36. What's the difference
between an initial prescription order and a refill
prescription order?
When
placing refill orders, no other information needs to be
provided, unless there has been a change in your shipping
address, contact information, health, in the strengths or
quantities of the medications you're taking, or in your
preferred method of payment (in which case, this information
needs to be provided). To place your refill order,
simply call us toll-free at 1-800-931-2005 or email us at
refills@superiorrxplans.com. Be sure to provide us
with your full name, telephone number and the details of the
drugs you want us to refill (i.e. name, strength and
quantity).
Once
your prescription has expired (1 year from the date it was
originally written), it will be necessary to provide us with
a copy of a new prescription issued by your U.S. doctor in
order for us to continue filling your prescription.

38. What happens if
my package gets lost?
Due to rare
occurrences with both Canada and US postal service, packages
can unfortunately get lost. This may be due to an incorrect
address or postal issues beyond our control. If your order
becomes lost in the mail, we will send you a replacement at
no charge. However, you will be held liable for the lost
package if it is determined that you have provided us with
an incorrect mailing address or if you failed to provide us
with a winter/summer address.

39. Why do some US
prescriptions require rewriting by my US physician in order
to be filled by a mail order Canadian pharmacy?
Some of your prescriptions may require re-writing in order
for us to fill them in Canada. This is due to the fact that
some U.S. prescription drugs are not available in Canada and
we can only supply a similar or equivalent Canadian product.
